Maintenance Mechanic / Multi-Craft

Job Skills and Qualifications Required

Possesses 3-5 years of direct related craft experience(pipefitter, millwright) and machinist) with achieved certifications/qualifications through educational institutions, technical programs, NCCER etc.

Possesses experience within the related craft disciplines working in a fast-paced maintenance/construction type environment.

Possesses general computer skills good verbal communications skills, including phone, radio, and plant intercom systems.

Capable of assisting Planning & Scheduling related work/discipline activities.

Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, elevated walkways, lift 50 lbs. single person - 80 lbs. w/two persons, walk, stand, stoop for extended periods of time, work in tight congested areas to include awkward positions.

Flexible work schedule (willing to work overtime, off-shift, and on short notice, call-in's)

Capable of working in dusty, hot/cold/wet conditions.

Capable of becoming respirator fit-tested.

Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment; understanding and complying with workplace safety regulations.

Removes defective parts by dismantling devices;

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

Works closely with the client.

Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.

Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Contributes to the team effort and attends all safety meetings/training/audits as required.

Adheres to the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the company.
