General Laborer

General Laborer- $17/Hr. Job Description We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team. This role involves a variety of physical tasks in outdoor environments, requiring strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in all weather conditions and can handle physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, and moving materials. Lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) throughout the shift. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot summers, cold winters). Operate basic hand and power tools safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Assist skilled tradespeople as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Essential Skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Must be able to lift heavy items repeatedly. Comfortable working in outdoor environments year-round. Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous labor or construction experience is a plus but not required. Must have good attendance and show up daily. Must be a team player and flexible with duties. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Why Work Here? Work Environment 50% of the work is indoor (non-climate controlled) and 50% is performed outside in the elements. Expect occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, rough and icy surfaces, high noise levels, and moving parts. Be prepared for frequent exposure to cement, concrete, and other substances. Work involves occasional/frequent lifting, climbing, stooping, and exposure to water and wet conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danville, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
