Assistant Construction Manager
Job Description

The Assistant Construction Manager will collaborate with clients, architects, estimating engineers, and superintendents to oversee food facility construction projects ranging from $5 million to $80 million. You will manage projects from pre-construction to project close-out, emphasizing cost control and schedule adherence. This role requires extensive travel up to 100% for the first few years, and involves managing high-profile projects in the food industry niche.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, estimate, and control costs for construction projects.
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate with subcontractors.
  • Attend construction meetings and review payment requests.
  • Ensure project schedule adherence and document management.
  • Handle change orders and punch list management.
  • Maintain safety standards on site with required protective gear.
Essential Skills
  • Expertise in Construction Management and Project Engineering.
  • Ability to manage change orders and daily logs.
  • Proficiency in construction document management and job cost analysis.
  • Experience in project schedule adherence and punch list management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience as a Project Manager on construction projects.
  • Experience with food-related projects is advantageous.
  • EIT license is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Procore or Timberline is beneficial.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based on project sites. Safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility attire, is required while on site. There are no medical monitoring or certification requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
