Rail Logistics, Inc.,** is currently hiring experienced **Chassis Mechanics** to inspect, diagnose, and repair intermodal chassis equipment. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced yard/shop environment, supporting intermodal rail freight operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Inspect and repair chassis frames, suspensions, landing gear, brakes, tires, and lighting systems
- Perform repairs to intermodal chassis, including welding
- Ensure all work meets FMCSA/DOT and safety compliance standards
- Complete repair tickets and inspection forms accurately
- Create mobile estimates, input repair information, take before and after pictures of damage/repairs
- Use yard equipment such as hostlers or forklifts (training provided if necessary)
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing of proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, safety boots, safety glasses, protective hard hat and goggles, when applicable.

- 2+ years of experience as a chassis mechanic (preferred)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA inspection standards
- Ability to weld (stick or MIG), preferred but not required
- Skilled in using hand and power tools
- Must provide own hand tools and toolbox for secured storage
- Must be able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Valid drivers license required
