Join our team as a Welder/Fabricator where you will use your skills in gas welding and arc welding processes to fabricate various metal components. This role involves performing related tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembly of metal parts. Responsibilities:
Weld metal parts using gas welding and arc welding processes.
Perform thermal cutting, drilling, shearing, punch pressing, and de-burring.
Repair broken parts, fill holes, and resize metal components.
Position and clamp components for welding.
Lift heavy objects manually or using a power hoist/crane.
Operate forklifts and overhead hoists/cranes.
Adhere to safe manufacturing processes and shop safety rules.
Maintain a clean work area by following good housekeeping practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
One-year certificate from a college or technical school in welding or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years of welding experience; basic computer skills in a Windows environment/ERP system.
Ability to perform basic math calculations and use measuring tools.
Strong values of honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and collaboration.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities including color vision and focus adjustment.
Ability to twist, turn, grasp, reach, kneel, crawl, pull, and stand for extended periods.
Must wear OSHA-approved safety gear including shoes, glasses, welding hood, sleeves, gloves, and hearing protection.
Willingness to work as needed, including various shifts.
