Description

Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking Plumbing Helpers to work in our Melbourne Florida Prefabrication shop. Must be 18, have reliable transportation. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Requirements

• 1-2 years school or hospital plumbing or construction experience preferred for helper position but will train the right candidate.
• Follow safety procedures
• Assist with
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing materials and fittings
• Follow safety protocols (PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, etc.).
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist in maintaining shop tools and equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Climbing up and down ladders
• Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. -
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. - Stand and walk for long periods of time. -
• See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
• Familiarity with power tools and tape measure use.
• Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
• Work in heat and various other weather conditions
• Travel to current job sites within Florida

$18.00 - $24.00 depending upon experience
