General Construction Laborer - Jacksonville, FL.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated General Laborer located in Jacksonville, FL.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:

• 1+ year of experience in commercial or airport construction environments
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for operating a company vehicle)
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of construction safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must undergo & pass Federal background check and/or drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Safety Certification
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment or construction machinery
• Familiarity with airport job site protocols and security procedures
• CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus
• Training or certification in trenching, backfilling, or scaffolding

Responsibilities:

• Perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazards
• Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures
• Excavate trenches, compact soil, and backfill areas as directed
• Operate and tend construction equipment and machinery under supervision
• Transport materials and tools across the job site using company vehicle
• Follow directions from site supervisors and support skilled trades (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers)
• Assist in site clean-up, tool maintenance, and securing of equipment at the end of each shift

Salary:

• $25.00/hr.

Bonus Pay:

A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
