Available Shift schedule/hours:

  • A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm

Compensation:

  • Wages starting at $23.00 . Wages dependent on experience.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Transporting Product: Safely drive CNG trucks and trailers to various warehouse locations throughout the Ohio Region, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up of products.
  • Local Shuttling: Transport product to and from production warehouses, following designated routes and schedules.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of all vehicles and trailers using Geotab to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Communicate any necessary repairs to the Fleet Manager to ensure equipment compliance with company standards, food safety requirements, and applicable laws.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all AIB, BRC Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a current knowledge of and comply with CDL, DOT, and all company/plant-specific safety and operational standards.
  • Training: Complete monthly CNG cornerstone training to stay updated on safety and operational procedures.
  • Driving CNG trucks and trailers to various Ohio Region warehouse locations
  • Promote and support safe operations and a strong safety culture across all yard spotter operations
  • Communicate efficiently with internal customers, carriers and vendors relevant to assigned areas
  • Drives employee engagement
  • Communicate with employees about projects, events, and goals/expectations
  • Keeps track of team’s schedules/vacations and timecards
  • Manage training deadlines and progress with employees to insure all training is up to date
  • Ensure goods and equipment are properly and safely handled to prevent loss or damage
  • Model positive work habits and practices for the driver team, provide mentorship for drivers and lead training activities for drivers as requested
  • Review, manage, and file all equipment safety, repair, and log paperwork in accordance with company policies (driver time records, damage out of service trailers and daily inspection forms)
  • Coordinate weekly activities regarding lot management (FIFO) and yard 5S task completion
  • Resolve and follow-ups to all emails with any plant issues addressed to yard dog email
  • Assist in full physical counts, pre-counts, cycle counts and other inventory activities as directed
  • Facilitate continuous improvement activities in assigned area as a participant and leader
  • Comply with all AIB and BRC standards, safety standards, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ability to log incidents in I-report and administer drug testing per CNG policy
  • Responsible for handling any disciplinary actions
  • Assign team members daily assignments based on work load

OUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
  • Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
  • Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
  • Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency
  • Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and Valid Class A License & Medical Card
  • 2+ years experience driving with Class A CDL
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a transportation, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • No more than 1 incident on your Motor Vehicle record in the last 3 years
  • Pass all DOT requirements to drive
  • Pass CNG road test
  • Basic computer and/or data entry skills are preferred
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English

Physical Work and Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
  • Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
