We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our team. The

ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience

in the HVAC industry, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication and

installation. This role requires proficiency in various tools and

techniques related to sheet metal work, including welding and plumbing.

The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring high-quality

service and adherence to safety standards while performing tasks related

to the design, assembly, and maintenance of sheet metal products.

**Responsibilities**

- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components according to

specifications and design plans.

- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters and welding equipment to complete

tasks effectively.

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, ensuring

optimal performance.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions in a timely

manner.

- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure seamless project

execution and adherence to deadlines.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all

safety protocols.

- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials

used.

**Experience**

- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role in the

HVAC industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication,

installation, and repair of sheet metal products.

- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.

- Proficient in using various tools required for sheet metal work,

including welding equipment.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for effective

execution of projects.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

within a team environment.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

- Reads and interprets Contract Documents, along with Architectural,

Structural and Mechanical Drawings.

- Read and interpret Submittals and Shop Drawings.

- Possess a basic understanding of HVAC System Operations.

- Possess a basic understanding of SMACNA Standards for Duct/System

Installations.

- Possess current certifications to operate Forklifts, Scissor Lifts,

Boom Lifts, and any other equipment necessary to perform a job.

- Completed 10 Hour or 30 Hour OSHA Course.

- Performs layout of HVAC Mechanical Systems.

- Possess a current City of Phoenix Journeymans License.

- Possess all tools required to perform job requirements.

- Understanding productive duct assembly and installations.

- Has the ability to construct and install HVAC systems with limited

supervision.

- Assists with hands-on training of co-workers.

- Other duties as assigned.
