**Responsibilities**
+ Follow a preventive maintenance schedule and assist in troubleshooting equipment and machinery during shifts.
+ Observe equipment in operation and utilize all senses to locate problems.
+ Examine parts and assemblies to identify changes in dimensions or imperfections.
+ Dismantle equipment to access damaged or worn parts.
+ Repair or replace worn or defective parts.
+ Adjust functional parts for optimal performance and clearances.
+ Test equipment performance.
+ Install power wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment and connect and test power wires.
+ Troubleshoot up to 480 volts using meters and electrical test equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and program AC and DC drive systems.
+ Align motors to manufacturer's specifications.
+ Replace faulty components such as boards and cables, and initiate purchase requisitions and other paperwork.
+ Test to ensure corrective actions are thorough and understand proper lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic parts or components.
+ Create finished metal products from sheet piping or structural steel.
+ Utilize knowledge of MIG/TIG, brazing, cutting/burning, and stick welding.
+ Change extruder, screws, and barrel according to manufacturer's recommendations.
+ Use metal shear, bender, band saw, and plasma cutter as needed.
+ Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
+ Maintain good housekeeping levels in the maintenance department and work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ GED or high school diploma.
+ 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or technical program or certifications.
+ Mechanical aptitude, such as auto mechanic experience.
+ Experience troubleshooting motors, pumps, and pneumatics.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts.
