Resident Water and Sewer Construction InspectorJob Description
Join our team as a Resident Water and Sewer Construction Inspector, where you will be integral to our services for the City of Hialeah's Department of Water & Sewers. This full-time position is based at a City-owned facility in Miami-Dade County, supporting the City's engineering staff by ensuring compliance with construction documents and City standards.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect Water and Sanitary Sewer projects to ensure compliance with approved construction documents and City standards.
+ Conduct daily construction inspections and review shop drawings.
+ Witness required Water and Sewer System tests.
+ Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with site contractors and design consultants.
+ Perform additional field inspection services as required by the City.
+ Adhere to City and internal policies and procedures, utilizing effective technical and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in Water and Sewer Inspection and CEI inspection.
+ Proficiency in quality control and familiarity with water distribution and sanitary sewer projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum of four years of experience in civil infrastructure construction inspections, including at least two years in Water and Sewer construction inspections (Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer Collection, Transmission, and Pumping Systems).
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment
This position is based at a City-owned facility in Miami-Dade County. The work environment involves engaging with the City's engineering staff, site contractors, and design consultants. Inspectors are expected to adhere to city and internal policies while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
