Electrician**
**Job Description**
The primary duties of this role focus on performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at a government health facility. The incumbent will also assist with general building upkeep, including plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, doors, auto-doors, and other facility components.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems.
+ Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
+ Test, install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IR scans, or other transmission equipment.
+ Perform fire alarm system and nurse call systems testing and maintenance.
+ Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop.
+ Assist maintenance teams.
+ Solely identify and resolve failures/alarms related to critical building equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Industrial bending conduit.
+ Troubleshooting and repair.
+ Preventative maintenance.
+ Experience with motors and pumps.
+ Journeyman Electrician License.
+ Commercial electrical repair.
+ Knowledge of construction and hospital environments.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Successful completion of federal, state, or local government's background investigation.
+ Skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment, and shop machines.
+ Knowledgeable and skilled in maintaining and repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components.
+ Understanding of all appropriate safety practices for working with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.
+ Ability to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems.
+ Proficiency in using computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training.
+ Basic knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems.
**Work Environment**
The position is based at a naval hospital on Camp Pendleton, where you will work with hospital-grade equipment and technologies. The role involves regular interaction with hospital systems and requires adherence to strict safety protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
