Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Carpet Installer. If you have a strong background in carpet installation and are familiar with various types of carpets, tools, and techniques, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality installations while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Install carpet in both residential and commercial properties, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Measure and cut carpet to fit specific areas, ensuring accurate measurements and cuts.
Remove old flooring and prepare surfaces for new carpet installation.
Use a variety of tools such as carpet knives, stretchers, and tack strips to ensure proper installation.
Assist in selecting the appropriate materials and colors based on customer preferences.
Communicate with customers regarding their preferences, providing professional advice on design and carpet care.
Follow safety procedures and adhere to company policies at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Troubleshoot any issues with carpet installation or repair, offering solutions as needed.
Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years of professional carpet installation experience (preferred).
Tools: Must have own equipment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of carpet materials and installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and installation diagrams.
Excellent attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy rolls of carpet and equipment.
Reliable transportation to job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a variety of carpet types (e.g., commercial, residential, textured, looped).
Certification or training in flooring installation (optional but a plus).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
