Experience Level:
This position requires a minimum of three years of experience as a drafter. Candidates must demonstrate:
Proficiency in developing architectural and structural drawing layouts.
The ability to complete construction document sets for submittals to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), with guidance.
Familiarity with construction detailing and systems integration.
A basic working knowledge of:
oGeneral Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC)
oThe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
What Youll Be Doing (but not limited to):
Produce accurate drawings, plans, and construction details under the direction of senior staff.
Prepare drawing sets and assist with Revit template management.
Demonstrate basic problem-solving ability in developing building details and coordinating building systems.
Participate in team meetings and document outcomes using clear, professional written communication.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout various phases of design and construction.
Support research related to building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
Maintain well-organized project documentation and digital file structures.
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Minor Responsibilities:
Help monitor office supplies and order print cartridges, paper, etc.
Coordinate service or maintenance needs for printers, plotters, and other drafting equipment.
What Were Looking For:
Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Drafting, Architecture, or related field
Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD a plus)
Strong technical and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing
Eagerness to grow, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully to active projects
