Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled team in maintaining and improving the reliability of critical equipment and systems in our food production facility.

In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities, driving root cause solutions, and supporting production uptime through rapid response and preventive strategies. You'll work cross-functionally with production leaders and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and compliance.

We're looking for a proactive team leader with a strong technical background in electrical, automation, HVAC, and ammonia systems. Experience with CMMS (preferably JDE), lean manufacturing tools, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, GMP, FSMA) is highly preferred.

salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
shift: Third
work hours: 5 PM - 1:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Lead and schedule maintenance staff for daily assignments; assist in resolving technical issues.

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance plans for electrical, automation, HVAC, ammonia, and compressed air systems.

  • Communicate PM schedules and track completion using CMMS (JDE).

  • Support production teams by prioritizing emergent repairs and minimizing downtime.

  • Apply lean tools to improve methods, increase equipment efficiency, and drive root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with Production Manager and Supervisors to align maintenance support with production goals.

  • Design and implement training programs for department staff and plant personnel (e.g., LOTO, NFPA, PLC, root cause analysis).

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOLI, FSMA, SQF, GMP, and all company policies.

  • Evaluate employee performance, recommend wage progression, and administer corrective actions as needed.

  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings in line with lean manufacturing systems.

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; work with the safety team to maintain safety programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and preventive controls.
