About this position

SeeScan is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a fully onsite position located in Kearny Mesa.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $71,000 to $80,000 annually.

This range represents a good faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.

In this position, you will

  • Participate in product development from concept generation through new product introduction
  • Experiment, prototype, and iteratively break and improve your designs, owning results and revisions
  • Build in-house expertise through deep technical understanding of every part you touch
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines, working closely with Electrical and Software Engineering to develop advanced video- and EM-diagnostic products for trade professionals
  • Design for a wide range of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, milling and turning, photochemical etching, stamping, die cutting, and more
  • Contribute broadly across all domains of mechanical engineering

About you

  • Comfortable assembling and testing your own prototypes, working with your hands
  • Elastic, resilient, and adaptable in a high-expectation, high-standards environment
  • Able to balance physical intuition and rigorous engineering analysis
  • Strong analysis and reporting skills
  • Innate, continuous drive to improve - today's success is tomorrow's baseline
  • High-bandwidth communicator through various mediums

Your background

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related, with strong technical knowledge of engineering principles
  • Strong CAD skills and appreciation for robust, parametric models
  • Working experience with various 3D printing technologies (FDM/polyjet/SLA,) hand tools, and shop tools
  • 0-3 years of experience
