**Job Description**

We are seeking experienced Traveling Stick Welders local to the York County area with 2 to 3 years of experience. This role involves setting anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and applying epoxy for base and sole plates. Responsibilities include welding miscellaneous metals such as stairs, railings, ladders, and more, as well as working with materials like carbon steel and processed pipes. This position requires overnight travel with attractive incentives and involves working on project sites across the US. Travel durations vary, with some projects requiring extended stays of up to three weeks.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assist manager, foreman, or superintendent as directed.

+ Perform layout using drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.

+ Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape, scale, angle finder, protractor, and square to 1/16 or 1 mm as required by drawings.

+ Understand and maintain fabrication tolerances as described on drawings.

+ Perform mig, stick, and tig welding and set up welding machines.

+ Interpret written directions and specifications accurately.

+ Operate equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, man lifts, overhead cranes, metal saws, press brakes, and iron workers.

+ Apply basic rigging principles and techniques.

+ Willing to work out-of-town for up to two weeks at a time, as required.

+ Work off-hours or overtime as needed to complete projects.

**Essential Skills**

+ Competency in welding techniques including mig, stick, and tig.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency in construction and ironwork.

+ Industrial experience and understanding of OSHA 10 regulations.

+ AWS certification in D1.1 welding standards.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with pneumatics and fabrication.

+ Ability to install structural steel.

+ Training in basic rigging principles.

**Work Environment**

The work environment includes industrial manufacturing plants and new construction project sites. Work with a small team of 2 to 3 for smaller projects or a larger team of 10-20 for larger projects. Shifts may vary by project, requiring flexibility to work both first and second shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $54.00/hr.
