Workers will drive and operate farm machinery such as planters, air seeders, sprayers, and combines to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Rock roll, tillage, rock pick, spread fertilizer, handle chemicals, and harrow. Tow harvesting equipment. Fill and transport water. ATV and UTV use. Weed control by chemicals. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids), wash, and mechanical repair to
farm machinery. Yard maintenance such as mowing, weed eating, and clean up. Shop maintenance such as clean up, carpentry work on houses/garages. Drive semi-trucks with trailer to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Load/Unload grain bins. Any other tasks that may need to be completed on the farm. Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. Repetitive movements. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Criminal background check required post-hire at employer's expense due to expensive equipment and tools on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience
required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire and perform NON CDL truck driving. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
