Electrician

Our client, a manufacturing company located in Vaughan, ON, is looking for an Electrician for Days to join their team.

What you will do in this role:

• Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the processing & packaging departments
• Processing equipment: Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of conveyors, vibratory shakers, pumps, hoists, HVAC equipment and other food processing machinery.
• Packaging equipment: Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of VFFS baggers, multi head scales, labelers, metal detectors, check weighers and tray sealing machinery.
• Diagnose and trouble shoot electrical issues (motors/ PLCs/ control panels etc.)
• Industrial maintenance experience required, preferably in the food industry.
• Adjust machinery setting and repair or replace defective parts.
• Read equipment manuals, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematic drawings to assist in machinery maintenance.
• Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Use CMMS system for work orders and tracking parts usage
• Any other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the role:

• Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) desired
• Packaging machinery maintenance experience (tray sealers, VFFS baggers, labelers, metal detectors etc.)
• Completion of secondary school
• 2 or more years of Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food industry
