The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising assembly personnel, managing work orders and schedules, and ensuring that products are built to high-quality standards. This role also includes cross-functional communication with Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments to drive production efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach department employees to meet performance and quality standards
- Manage production schedules and work orders to ensure timely completion
- Actively participate in the assembly process and record labor data
- Oversee the safe and accurate assembly of heat exchangers using general shop tools
- Supervise assembly of bundles, including layout, tubing, rolling, and hydrostatic testing
- Lead final assembly of structural and mechanical components, including motors and propellers
- Interpret and follow blueprints, instructions, and diagrams
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies
- Coordinate labor and resources across work areas to meet shifting production needs
- Ensure proper use of the ERP system for job tracking, labor punching, and rework logging
- Schedule department overtime as needed
- Work closely with Department Leads, Engineering, and QC teams to address production issues
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in air coolers & heat exchanger assembly
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and tube rolling equipment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Physical activities include walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- PPE required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and compliant footwear
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime and weekends based on production needs
