Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical/mechanical equipment, including plastic injection blow mold machinery, in the plant and surrounding facilities without supervision or assistance.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.
- Possess the electrical competency to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions down to circuit board level.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment to “like new” state when required.
- Work unassisted and unsupervised to job completion in a timely and proficient manner.
- Maintain or exceed speed and efficiency while maintaining or improving quality of work.
- Install and dismantle machinery and equipment.
- Overhaul machinery by tearing down equipment and repairing or replacing damaged machine parts.
- Operate mechanical equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.
- Care for and use hand tools in the repair of equipment and structures.
- Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs.
- Perform all general preventative maintenance duties such as greasing oiling, etc.
- Possess excellent technical and critical thinking skills.
- Well versed in a broad spectrum of trades.
- Must provide own hand tools and tool box.
- Identify issues that he/she is not able to rectify and communicate them promptly to the Maintenance Manager for assistance.
