Job Summary
The Associate Project Manager (APM) supports the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across various departments. This role works closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The APM is responsible for coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and communicating with stakeholders. The APM supports the PM in everything related to the projects within the section.
Responsibilities- Assist PM in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Assist PM in preparing and maintaining weekly reports.
- Assist PM in coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate the daily operations with team and other departments.
- Assist PM in monitoring project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Assist PM in prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports and meeting notes.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders and team members.
- Support risk management and issue resolution processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project standards.
- Assist PM in managing project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Assist the PM with daily operational tasks and managerial responsibilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the PM.
- Proactive in seeking higher responsibilities and challenges, with a strong desire to grow within the organization.
- Demonstrate ability to promote change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performs other related duties of higher or lower levels as designated by the PM.
Project Management:
1- Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop project timelines, resource plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers to align design milestones with construction schedules.
2 - Quality Assurance
- Conduct design reviews and audits.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure design integrity.
3-Risk Management
- Identify potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure designs are resilient to environmental and operational stresses.
Qualifications
Preferred Certifications or ability to obtain:
- Certified associate in project management (CAPM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Education:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in science, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus; must be obtained within 6 months of hire if not already certified.
Minimum
Experience:

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This job might operate in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships. Precise hand-eye coordination. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
