Summary: The Wet Utilities Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily field operations and management of wet utility installations, including water, sanitary sewer, and storm drains systems. This role ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all phases of wet utilities on construction site, Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment involved in the installation of water, sewer and storm drainage systems, Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards, Coordinate with municipalities and utility companies for permits, inspections and utility tie-ins, Effectively manage overall planning and implementation of division projects, Directly manage the project, providing leadership, support, coaching and overall performance management, Provide energetic leadership and experience in managing construction projects with emphasis on wet and dry utilities, Responsible for all field operations and related activities, Ensure timely delivery of project, May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required, Valid driver's license, Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus, 5-8 years total experience in wet utility construction, At least 5 year in supervisory role in the related field, Familiarity with WSSC, D.C. Water, specifications, and permitting processes, Strong knowledge of underground utility installation procedures, including open-cut and trenchless methods, OSHA 30 certification preferred, Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawing, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening.

Working Conditions: This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., You must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, and twist, In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet and legs for long periods of time, Repeatedly use of hands, and arms, for an extended period, This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, This job requires the ability to see, with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts), Perform essential job tasks in extreme or inclement weather, including but not limited to extreme heat, humidity, rain, storms, snow, for extended amount of time, Exposure to hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, Constant exposure to loud noises and heavy moving equipment.

Note: This position is considered Safety-Sensitive, and therefore subject to various schedule and unscheduled screenings for controlled substances.
