Sevan Multi Site Solutions is a veteran owned business that provides fully customized turn key program management and construction services at scale We offer program management site assessments design and engineering services for restaurants grocery gas station retail and government projects nationwide We work with leading brands like McDonalds Starbucks Sprouts and Whataburger to name a few At Sevan we provide the talent technology and trusted expertise needed to consistently deliver excellence in multi site construction Sevan is an INC 5000 Fastest Growing Company Great Places to Work 2023 Best Places to work in Chicago 20 21 22 23 Best Places to Work in Construction 2023 The Senior Civil Engineer is a member of our Civil Engineering design team and works alongside a group of individuals to provide engineering services to Sevans clients A design professional accountable for producing accurate design and construction documents for small site multi site construction projects retail restaurant fuel station car wash and others and supporting other team members in achieving team goals Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares complete accurate and code compliant construction documentsProvides technical and creative design solutions that align with program intentPerform civil engineering design calculations and prepare engineering reportsResponsible for determining the appropriate site features and their design applicationResponsible for maintaining project schedules deadlines and commitments for all projectsCoordinates work with consultants contractors fabricators specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesNotifies supervisor of changes in project scope and advises if a change order proposal is neededPossesses a working knowledge of engineering and building codes and ADA requirementsConducts project due diligence with municipalities to determine local zoning engineering and building code requirementsAccountable for resolving plan review comments from code officialsProject liaison to code officials outside consultants suppliers and contractors regarding questions to the construction documentsOversees staff engineers designers andor CAD techniciansComplete technical applications and secure permitsEligible for Designer of Record signing and sealing responsibilities based on business needWorks with supervisor and peers to pursue professional developmentParticipates in the development and mentoring of junior members of the teamParticipates in NCEES with the ability to be licensed in multiple statesEngages in personal and professional growth opportunities within SevanAccountable for timely completion of assigned projectsSelf starter with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision on complex and large scope projectsRepresent the company at client project meetings Visits project sites to verify scope exiting conditions and other related activitiesMake public presentations as project representatives and owners representativesOther duties as assignedQualifications PE licenseBachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent8 years related experience andor training;
