Sr. Project Manager - Plumbing(Seattle, WA)

This role reports directly to the Sales Manager and focuses on driving business development across construction and mechanical systems sectors. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new revenue streams, nurturing client relationships, and building a high-conversion prospect pipeline in coordination with project leadership teams. This individual will play a strategic role in managing pursuit and preconstruction efforts, developing sales strategies, and mentoring Project Managers and Engineers for long-term success and efficiency.

**Location** :

Compensation Range:

$130,000 to $215,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and work location. Total compensation may include additional incentives, benefits, and allowances based on company policy.

Supervision Responsibilities:

None directly, but includes mentorship and performance coaching for Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Core Responsibilities

Project & Sales Management

+ Manage project lifecycles from lead generation through final job execution.

+ Oversee pursuit, sales, estimating, and engineering responsibilities for assigned projects.

+ Support high-level budgeting efforts for prospects not yet aligned with a Project Management team.

+ Lead bid strategy development, risk assessments, and oversight of preconstruction reviews.

+ Assign project teams and support client alignment with Project Managers and Engineers.

+ Maintain visibility across project status, proposals, and CRM records.

Revenue & Market Development

+ Expand project volume by increasing bundled service offerings and targeting local and emerging markets.

+ Develop strategic plans that align with long-term market growth objectives.

+ Analyze business data and trends to identify key opportunities.

+ Stay informed on industry shifts and competitive activity.

Client Relationships

+ Identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients.

+ Use a consultative sales approach to uncover strategic objectives and deliver tailored solutions.

+ Host client site visits or shop tours to build confidence and demonstrate value.

+ Build rapport across departments to promote seamless collaboration throughout the sales lifecycle.

+ Establish trusted partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry professionals.

Team Leadership & Development

+ Coach and mentor Project Managers to improve delivery, accountability, and leadership capacity.

+ Collaborate with HR and department leads on hiring, training, and retention initiatives.

+ Monitor team performance metrics and support alignment with internal project management systems.

+ Foster a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and positive morale.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sales, Business, or equivalent experience.

+ 10+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating, design, or project management for jobs valued $10M$100M+.

+ Demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams.

+ Capable of autonomous decision-making while collaborating effectively with senior leadership.

+ Proven leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.

+ Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to influence executive-level decision-makers.

+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with construction-related software platforms (e.g., JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet).

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

+ Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs occasionally.

+ Hearing and speech capabilities sufficient to communicate via phone and in-person.

+ Regular walking and standing during site visits.

+ Consistent and dependable attendance is required.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel required between the primary office and regional project sites based on business needs. Locations and schedules may vary.

**Pay Details:** $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
