Journeyman Plumber

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Installation and Maintenance:** Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipe systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

- **Blueprint Interpretation:** Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems and identify the materials required.

- **System Testing:** Test plumbing systems and fixtures for leaks and other problems. Ensure systems are functioning correctly and comply with local codes.

- **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose problems in plumbing systems, including issues with pipes, fixtures, and fittings. Implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

- **Pipefitting and Steam fitting:** Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools. Assemble and install a variety of piping systems, including those for steam, water, and gas.

- **Safety Compliance:** Follow safety procedures and guidelines to protect yourself, your team, and the public. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with other construction professionals, including electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently.

- **Customer Interaction:** Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions. Offer advice on maintenance and system upgrades.

- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and time tracking.

**Qualifications:**

- **Experience:** Proven experience as a plumber, pipefitter, or steamfitter, preferably in a similar role.

- **Licensure/Certification:** Possession of a valid plumbing license or certification is required.

- **Technical Skills:** Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations. Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.

- **Problem-Solving:** Excellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills. Ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.

- **Physical Stamina:** Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
