Position Overview: The Machine Builder is responsible for assembling and testing mechanical and electrical components. This role requires precise dexterous movements to ensure the pace and quality of assembly work, adherence to safety and quality standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble and test mechanical or electrical components with sensitive hand and equipment coordination. Receive components or items for assembly and testing in a programmed sequence. Assemble minor variations of standard in-house products. Follow clear assembly and test instructions, including color coding, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping. Use simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures. Complete required documentation related to production tasks. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, safe condition. Handle internal and external customer needs and expectations as required. Comply with all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality. Successfully complete site-specific training regarding safety and quality. Drive continuous improvement processes and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities. Qualifications and Experience: Forklift Operation: Preferred experience; certification and training provided. Assembly Experience: Preferred experience in mechanical assembly. Mechanical Experience: Preferred experience in mechanical components handling. Measurement and Cutting Skills: Ability to measure and cut pipes accurately using a saw; experience in reading measurements. Tool Proficiency: Experience with using hand tools, including pipe wrenches, mallets, power tools, and drills. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in their work. The estimated pay range for this position is $20-26. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
