Large utility is looking for an Engineering Technician in Denver, CO. responsibilities:
- Apply and follow engineering standards, systems, and document control processes.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company's Quality Program.
- Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
- Review design inputs for consistency and standards compliance.
- Create and develop engineering deliverables from various design sources.
- Perform basic engineering computations (e.g., material estimates, dimensional checks).
- Coordinate deliverables with cross-functional project teams.
- Support project finalization (e.g., as-built drawings, quantity take-offs).
- Understand and prioritize internal client needs; learn about external client drivers.
- Share knowledge on latest technologies and apply decision-making to deliverables.
- May provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Use of Bluebeam and other engineering/drafting software.
- Experience with CADD or similar applications for deliverable creation.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology is preferred.
- Diploma or certificate with at least 1 year of related work experience.
