Master Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to lead production and maintenance scheduling in our aviation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the master schedule for aircraft components, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) activities, and production planning, with close integration into the supply chain function.

This role ensures alignment between demand forecasts, materials availability, shop capacity, and delivery commitments. A strong background in aviation, production control, and supply chain planning is essential.

This is a Salary position working day shift and some weekends.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and maintain a master production schedule (MPS) that meets customer demand while optimizing inventory and resource utilization.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, materials planning, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure schedule feasibility and efficiency.
• Collaborate with supply chain to ensure material availability and lead time accuracy to support scheduled commitments.
• Analyze capacity constraints and proactively adjust schedules to prevent delays in production or delivery.
• Drive on-time delivery (OTD) and turnaround time (TAT) performance by aligning all stakeholders to the master schedule.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, backlog, and production throughput.
• Lead S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) or integrated planning meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Develop contingency plans to address delays due to supply chain disruptions or labor constraints.
• Support ERP/MRP system optimization to ensure scheduling accuracy and system data integrity.
• Interface with customers as needed to communicate schedule changes or confirm delivery timelines.

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  (Masters degree or APICS certification preferred) or a related field preferred or a combination of education and related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in scheduling or production planning within the aviation/aerospace industry , MRO, or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of aviation component lifecycle , maintenance intervals, and FAA/EASA compliance requirements is a plus.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS, or similar), Excel, and scheduling software.
• Solid knowledge of supply chain concepts such as lead times, safety stock, procurement cycles , and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in APU, engine, or component repair scheduling.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and traceability requirements in aerospace (e.g., AS9100).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with competing priorities.
