HVAC Installer

Carolina Cool, a NearU Company in Surfside Beach, SC is seeking qualified and dependable Residential HVAC Installers to join our field services team. This position is responsible for the installation of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including associated ductwork, electrical components, and controls. Key Responsibilities:

• Install a wide range of HVAC equipment in various environments, including attics, rooftops, crawlspaces, basements, and outdoor areas
• Read and interpret installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and piping schematics
• Lead and direct apprentices on job sites; provide training and assign tasks
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
• Plan and lay out jobs, order materials, and avoid installation delays
• Adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and installation codes
• Lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (50–100 lbs regularly)
• Braze and run refrigerant piping per manufacturer specifications
• Properly size and design ductwork for various residential installations
• Perform equipment start-ups, recoveries, evacuations, and testing procedures
• Maintain company tools and return unused materials to inventory
• Complete all required job documentation and paperwork accurately and on time
• Stay current with new HVAC technologies and installation techniques
• Report customer issues or installation errors to management immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• EPA Certification
• All candidates are subject to pre-employment drug screenings and background checks
• All applicants shall, unless otherwise described in the job requirements, possess a valid drivers license and shall demonstrate safe driving practice by submitting a recent DMV Safe Driving Record
