We are looking for a dedicated Resident Apartment Building Manager to manage the operations of our 103-suite residential luxury adult 55+ apartment building located in south Edmonton. As the live on-site building Apartment Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the property, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining a high standard of living within the community. This position is a live on-site position, no pets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the apartment building including overseeing and performing groundskeeping and maintenance, as well as performing leasing activities, and tenant relations
- Ensure all units are well-maintained, clean, and in compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate and schedule apartment viewings for potential tenants
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
- Implement and enforce lease agreements, and rent collection
- Collaborate with staff to address repair and maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of leases, maintenance activities, and tenant communications
Experience:
- Previous experience in apartment building management or related field preferred
- Handy person skills an asset, plus experience overseeing and helping with grounds, cleaning, general maintenance, and hands on experience with management of apartment buildings.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
