Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer and/or Project Manager to join our growing Civil Group in our Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in diverse and exciting roadway/transportation engineering projects. Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of progressive experience in the design and development of roadway projects, with a strong understanding of IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and local agency standards.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a variety of roadway/transportation engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
- Prepare and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Adopts and implements in-house QA/QC program.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Relocation is available
The base salary will be estimated between $95,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and a minimum of 2 years' experience or the equivalent thereof.
- Experience in the inspection and/or design of, but not limited to, bridges, roadways, railroads, marinas, and/or ports.
- Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Valid driver's license
