Design Engineer - CREO

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in 3D CAD modeling using PTC CREO. The candidate will play a key role in product development, mechanical design, and detailing of components across various domains such as automotive, industrial machinery, consumer goods, or heavy engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using PTC CREO.

Lead and participate in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.

Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and apply GD&T standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing) throughout the product lifecycle.

Conduct design reviews and implement improvements based on feedback and testing results.

Generate and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, and change notes.

Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.

Ensure designs meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Work within PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) for revision control and workflow management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

5+ years of hands-on experience with PTC CREO (Creo Parametric, Creo Elements).

Proficient in part modeling, assembly design, surfacing, sheet metal, and drafting.

Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles.

Experience in materials selection (metals, plastics, composites).

Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Working knowledge of design validation and root cause analysis.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Windchill or other PLM tools.

Basic understanding of FEA or simulation tools.

Experience in industries like automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or consumer products.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes like casting, forging, injection molding, and machining.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential.
