Low Voltage Cable Technician

Commercial Cabling Technician Location: Fairfield CT Job Type: Contract / Full-Time Company Overview: We are a growing technology services provider specializing in structured cabling and network infrastructure. We support commercial clients across Connecticut with reliable, high-quality installations and service. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Cabling Technician to assist with pulling, routing, and terminating low-voltage cables (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.) at commercial site in Fairfield, CT. This is a hands-on field role requiring travel to job sites. Responsibilities: Pull, route, and secure network cabling in commercial environments Terminate and test Cat5e/Cat6 cables Install jacks, patch panels, and faceplates Read and interpret blueprints and floor plans Maintain a clean and safe work environment Communicate effectively with team leads and project managers Requirements: 1+ years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installations Familiarity with cable testers, hand tools, and termination techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders Preferred Qualifications: CT Low Voltage License (Huge Plus) Experience with fiber optic cabling Basic knowledge of network hardware Compensation: Pay is based on experience.
