Field Contract Administrator (FCA)

DuPont Water & Protection is recruiting for a Field Contract Administrator (FCA) at the Yerkes manufacturing site in the Buffalo, NY area. The Yerkes site is home to our Corian and Tedlar business with the primary responsibility of this role supporting the site construction activities.

The Field Contract Administrator reports directly to the Site Engineering & Facilities Manager and is the primary liaison between the contractors and the area operations personnel. This individual coordinates beginning to end interactions with contractors including package preparation, pre-job meetings, equipment inspection, timesheets, and post-job evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with DuPont Core Values, including Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • Ensures compliance with all rules, regulations and policies pertaining to all federal, state, local and DuPont EHS requirements

  • Understanding scopes of work including drawings and schematics

  • Ensure compliance with Site Contracting Strategy

  • Participate in package preparation process

  • Conduct pre-job meetings

  • Inspection of contractors equipment

  • Acceptance of services or work completed

  • Monitor safety, quality, cost, and schedule

  • Schedule and coordinate contractor work, including preparing work and specialty permits

  • Audit Contractor Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

  • Verify receipt of service (ROS)

  • Sign and maintain time sheets, material tickets, documentation for ROS

  • Maintain daily reports of work

  • Help Contract Administrator resolve claims and issues

  • Monitor and document changes to contract

  • Audit contractor's safety program and performance

  • Provide input on post-job evaluation

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience required
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in contract management, procurement or construction administration
  • Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process/Low Hazard Operation) experience preferred
  • Demonstrated performance as a self-starter. Applicants should be capable of demonstrating ability to gain knowledge from others, assessing and prioritizing improvement opportunities, and then translating opportunities into continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill demonstrated in communicating with contractors, customers, management, operating personnel and peers

The Pay range for this role is $28.59 - $44.92 Hourly
