Superintendent / Project Manager - Marine Construction

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent / Project Manager to lead complex pile driving operations for marine construction projects, with a strong focus on wharf construction and pre-cast elements. This role is hybrid, requiring approximately 50% of work in the field and 50% in the office, demanding robust leadership, planning, and coordination skills to manage current operations and future project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including pile driving and pre-cast installations.
  • Lead foremen and work closely with Field Engineers to ensure alignment between field execution and project plans.
  • Plan operations several months in advance to ensure readiness and efficiency.
  • Manage scheduling, materials, subcontractors, personnel, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and project specifications.
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence on-site during construction hours.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop detailed operational plans.
  • Track and manage project costs and schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and enforce quality control standards.
  • Produce accurate field documentation and daily reports.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ethical conduct on-site.

Essential Skills
  • 715+ years of experience in marine construction, with a focus on pile driving, wharf construction, and pre-cast systems.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale waterfront projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ethical conduct.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in project management, construction management, and change order processes.
  • Experience with working on wharfs, pre-cast construction, and marine construction.
  • Knowledge of managing contracts, generating RFIs and submittals.
  • Experience in commercial construction and project engineering.
  • Construction document management.
  • 10+ years as a superintendent or project manager in marine construction.
Work Environment
  • This position is a hybrid role, requiring approximately 50% of time in the field and 50% in the office. The work involves managing construction activities at waterfront sites, requiring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. The role demands a strong leadership presence on-site during construction hours, and proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software is essential.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
