Responsibilities- Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, and tools, as necessarywithin the employee's assignment as directed by management.
- Use of all precision measuring instruments required to accomplishwork assignments.
- Capable of accessing and navigating electronic systems as required bythe position program, and/or company. Company will provide training asrequired in a timely manner
- Works safely and maintains a safe work environment adhering toestablished company safety requirements.
- Train, coach and/or assist fellow employees as requested or requiredby the company.
- Maintain and utilize required personal certifications andqualifications as directed by the company to perform job assignments.
- Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
- Report job handicaps such as: errors in parts, procedures, tools,sequences, etc
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings manuals, specifications andjob orders to determine material requirements and the methods andsequence of operations to perform maintenance carpentry and paintingand/or the fabrication, assembly, packaging and loading of shippingcontainers.
- Set up and operate hand and power woodworking equipment or tools toperform such operations as drilling, sawing, planning, joining, routingand sanding.
- Assemble parts in accordance with furnished layouts, sketches, jiglocations, or by following verbal instructions.
- Build sheds, storage bins, scaffolding, platforms, and floors,shelves, partitions and benches and perform finish carpentry on suchitems as office doors, windows, wooden furniture and equipment.
- Install hardware such as hinges, locks, plates, knobs and casters towooden items and structures.
- Rework and repair office equipment, floors and window blinds,drafting tables, cabinets and other related items.
- Fabricate, assemble and finish such office and shop equipment asframes, filing boxes, bookstands, shelves and cardboard and woodenboxes, crates and shipping containers, including those where deviationfrom standard sizes and shapes may be required.
- Hand and spray paint factory and office building, areas, equipmentand furniture, rolling stock and equipment. Mix, blend and match paintto proper color and consistency and when necessary set up scaffoldingand rigging.
- Apply prime and finish coats to office furniture, office interiors,heavy machinery, and power and lift trucks, jigs, holding fixtures anddollies. Hand rub down and mirror finish office furniture.
- Hang wallpaper, pictures, mount maps on walls and paint originalguidelines that define area limits, walks and roadways.
- Block, tie down, brace, pad, and strap or otherwise secure contentsin freight carriers, cars or trucks.
- Cut and apply stencils and exterior markings.13. Record carpentry, painting and crating and packing data andstatistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-basedsystem.

- Must be willing and able to work any shift
- Candidates must pass certification for blueprint reading and crate building assessment prior to being being hired
