job duties:
Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies
Load and unload materials and equipment
Prepare floors for installations
Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
Vacuuming, scraping the floor, removing old flooring, and disposal to proper bins
Patching and self-levelling subfloors according to site specifications
Spreading adhesives
Install wall base (standard) and millwork base
Installing stairs (risers, treads, nosings, and stringers), rubber carpet and LVT
Installing various commercial materials, such as LVT, VCT, or rubber tiles
Measure, cut and install resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools
Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
Clean work area as needed

terms of employment: permanent full-time; 40 hours per week

employment conditions: morning, day, evening, weekend
*Flexibility on schedule is required depending on the business needs including weekend work and overtime as needed.

Education: completion of secondary school (high school)

Installation specialization: vinyl or resilient tiles or sheets, hardwood intricate patterns flooring, carpets, rugs
Work setting: commercial, construction, various locations
