POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a versatile and collaborative BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing Building Information Models (BIM) across architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems, ensuring seamless integration and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This position ensures adherence to BIM standards and company policies, develops and modifies models and drawings, prepares construction documents, and coordinates with the internal team to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop 3D models from design concepts or mark-ups provided by engineering or project management staff. Work under the direction of the Architect/Engineers; and other team members as part of a coordinated design team to produce complex geometry, design layouts, detailed drawings, and other construction documents.
+ Modeling building structures using architectural models.
+ Coordinate and align structural models with architectural, MEP, and civil models to ensure design consistency and clash-free documentation.
+ Create, modify, and manage 3D models and 2D documentation to support design development and construction documentation.
+ Create detailed plans for building foundations and framing.
+ Cut and detail sections and elevations and create schedules.
+ Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
+ Assist in the development of BIM content, templates, and libraries to improve efficiency and quality.
+ Review 3D models for accuracy and compliance with industry and company standards.
+ Manage and store BIM files and related documentation.
+ Support project teams in understanding and utilizing 3D models effectively.
+ Learning, advancing and staying up to date with new versions of Revit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
+ Associate degree in Design and Drafting.
+ Two (2) years of experience.
+ Experience with Revit and Autocad.
Skills and Abilities:
+ Ability to keep and handle confidential documents.
+ Familiarity with cloud collaboration platform BIM360/ACC.
+ Experience with Bluebeam.
+ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
+ Good communication skills and personable demeanor.
+ Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Ability to read and understand new and existing construction documents.
+ Demonstrate a sense of pride and adhere to high standards and quality in the project.
+ Multi-task between projects and be able to work well under pressure.
+ Proficiency in Revit; experience with AutoCAD and other BIM tools is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ Potential to be around construction equipment when visiting job sites, be able to handle loud noises.
+ Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
+ Routine use of standard office equipment.
