Bear IC is looking for a diligent and team-focused Assistant Superintendent who will be responsible for day-to-day field operations.

A typical day looks like:

• Assisting Superintendent in coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and laborers to meet project schedules.
• Ensuring work is being completed in accordance with safety and quality requirements through in process inspections.
• Managing and enforcing Independence Construction's Safety Program and rules.
• Monitoring manpower, equipment, weather, and recording this information in daily project reports along with site photos.
• Supporting subcontractors with drawing reviews and coordinating questions with Project Engineers
• Performing and/or verifying punch list item accuracy to ensure timely completion.
• Interfacing with General Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Engineer.

Do you have what it takes?

• At least Five (5) years of progressively responsible roles in construction and construction management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to deal with situations involving sensitive and confidential company issues.
• Solid written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels, both internally and externally.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
• Able to perform duties independently.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications, general technology aptitude to learn assorted CM software (Procore, P6, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail.
