The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.

Position Summary

PURPOSE

Safely, efficiently and expeditiously use designated painting equipment and tools; and follow established processes and procedures to paint vessels and other products as specified by work instructions, job orders and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Sandblast, following work instructions and protecting specified parts, if required,

  • Set up and operate painting equipment as specified in work instructions, job orders and other applicable documentation.

  • Verify finished product meets specifications by testing for paint thickness and coverage.

  • Complete necessary documentation.

  • Drain and clean inside vessels.

  • Prepare vessel for shipment by installing elements and other equipment, as specified.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

  • Ensure that work, staging and storage areas are safe and clean and meet all requirements as specified in work instructions.

  • Follow the 5S system.

  • TOOLS

The tools used include, but may not be limited to:

  • Paint sprayers.
  • Protective equipment.
  • Pneumatic hand tools.
  • Basic hand tools.
  • Overhead crane.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • At least 6 months to 1-years' experience in painting and sandblasting and using such systems.
  • Basic knowledge of reading blueprints, preferred.
  • Basic understanding of paint measuring and or testing devices preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Should posse basic math skills
  • Ability to read a standard tape measure..
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Frequently, lift and/or move 1 to 20 pounds, and occasionally, up to 50 pounds.
  • Work from elevated platforms and/or ladders.
  • Use specific vision faculties which include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed t to harmful light emitted by welding machinery and flying metal particles, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The duties of this job may be performed in non-controlled temperature environments and in an area of moderate to high noise levels.
