Job Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects; perform work in preparing surfaces for concrete

- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management.

- Assist in set forms and wall panel forms

- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.

- Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including concrete, asphalt and dirt.

- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to a member of management.

- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.

- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

- Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.

Job Skills & Qualifications

- Valid driver's license

- One or more years of experience in construction preferred

- Basic math skills to perform calculations while measuring on job sites and to help the surveying crew

- Mechanical skills to use the heavy machinery and equipment that is used regularly on construction sites

- Physical strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting materials

- Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather

Travel is required.
