Davis Aircraft Products, is a recognized leader in the aerospace industry, committed to precision, innovation, and top-tier service. We specialize in Cargo Restraints, Ground Support, machined components and assemblies for commercial, defense, and space applications. We're currently seeking a Processing Purchasing Agent to manage outside processing services such as heat treating, plating, nondestructive testing (NDT), and other critical subcontracted operations.

Position Summary:

The Processing Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating outside services for aerospace parts in compliance with rigorous industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in aerospace manufacturing processes, and able to manage vendor relationships to support production schedules and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Procure and manage outside services such as heat treat, passivation, anodize, plating, painting, and NDT for aerospace components.

Review technical specifications, drawings, and quality requirements to ensure vendors meet compliance standards.

Coordinate logistics and lead times to ensure parts are processed and returned on schedule both internally and externally.

Track and manage processing orders, maintain documentation, and update ERP/MRP systems accordingly.

Work closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve processing issues and ensure supplier performance.

Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with approved vendors.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally in aerospace or a regulated industry.

Strong knowledge of aerospace processing requirements (e.g., AMS, MIL-SPEC, NADCAP).

Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, Pentagon, Oracle ).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently

Must be able to move around in fast paced factory, and lift 25 lbs.

Preferred:

Experience working with AS9100-certified suppliers.

Understanding of ITAR and export compliance regulations. US Government contracts/ITAR requirements apply, limiting this position to US Person requirements. You must be able to provide valid documentation to prove US citizenship or an unexpired Permanent Resident Card. Only regional candidates who meet this criterion will be considered.
