Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking a Painter (prepper) to join our body shop team. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated with great attention to detail. As part of our team, you will work onsite as a detailing/reconditioning expert and play a key role in providing an immaculate vehicle to customers and keeping our shop clean. Responsibilities
Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes
Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine
Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using a vacuum cleaner
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and devices
Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components
Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime
Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials that do not respond to standard cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following the product manufacturer's recommendations
Paints engine components and related parts using a spray gun, aerosol can, and masking material
Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of the vehicle, using a container of touch-up paint
Applies dyes and reconditioning chemicals to vinyl tops of vehicles to restore color and condition
Assists with keeping the shop clean
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have clean a driving record
Be able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Able to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record Check, and drug test
