Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with project management expertise to lead initiatives contributing to a multi-decade program aimed at modernizing heavy rail stations across the Atlanta metro area. This role involves leading the design and delivery of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and rail station rehabilitation projects. The position requires a deep understanding of transit infrastructure, urban design, and public agency coordination. Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for BRT corridors and rail station upgrades, including planning, design, permitting, and construction administration.
- Lead coordination with MARTA, GDOT, municipalities, and utility providers.
- Oversee development of NEPA documentation, FTA grant compliance, and environmental permitting.
- Ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
- Supervise preparation of construction documents, including roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, and station architecture.
- Facilitate public engagement and stakeholder communication.
- Implement QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with MARTA and GDOT standards.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
- 8-10 years experience managing transit projects including BRT, rail, or multimodal projects.
- Proficient in keeping projects on budget, on scope, and on schedule.
- Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Primavera.
- License as a professional engineer is a plus.
- Experience with civil, roadway, transportation, bridge, and highway design.
- Expertise in transit infrastructure, including trains and buses.
- Ability to relocate to Atlanta if not currently residing there.
