Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dependable operator with a strong background in roadway/site development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating multiple types of heavy equipment, particularly finishing grade. This individual must also possess a clean and valid drivers license.
Note: Candidates must not have a history of frequent job changes (e.g., a new job every year). Stability and a long-term mindset are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, skid steers, and graders for roadway construction.
Conduct daily pre-operational checks and complete equipment condition reports.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment: sweep cabs daily, remove trash, clean interiors weekly, and lubricate as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures and ensure compliance on-site.
Communicate effectively with the Project Superintendent and other team members.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating graders, with additional experience on dozers, excavators, and skid steers preferred.
Strong background in roadway and site development projects.
Valid and clean Drivers License required.
OSHA 10 certification and familiarity with FDOT specifications preferred.
Strong understanding of job site safety protocols and heavy equipment best practices.

Ability to work outdoors in various conditions (dust, heat, uneven terrain).
