CAD Drafter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to produce technical drawings and plans for use in manufacturing, construction, or engineering projects. This is a 12 month contract assignment that is located in the North Haven CT area.

The ideal candidate will have atleast 3 years of experience with CAD software and able to interpret technical information to create accurate and detailed plans, diagrams, and models.

Qualifications

• Certification in Drafting, CAD, or related field.
  
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or relevant industry-specific software (e.g., MicroStation experience preferred, ).
  
  
• Understanding of drafting principles, drawing standards, and technical specifications.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
  
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

responsibilities:

• Develop 2D drawings and models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software.
  
  
• Translate conceptual sketches, specifications, and notes into precise technical drawings.
  
  
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
  
  
• Revise drawings based on redlines, field notes, or design changes.
  
  
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation according to company standards.
  
  
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
  
  
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOM), drawing logs, and supporting documentation.
  
  
• Assist in preparing construction documents, fabrication drawings, and permit submittals.
