SUMMARY

The VP, Director of Builder Services is the organization’s architect for all things builder-related—shaping strategy, driving growth, and ensuring a friction-free experience for builders, borrowers, and our internal teams. You will own the end-to-end builder channel: from product design and RESPA-compliant processes to sales enablement, marketing, analytics, and talent acquisition. Success in this role is measured by profitable production growth, builder satisfaction, loan officer engagement and a best-in-class reputation within the new home community

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems Experience

  1. Experience : 10+ Years’ experience in a Builder Services role & industry experience, experience with direct involvement with sales leadership, data driven decision making,
  2. Skills: Strong growth mindset, excellent communication skills, high level of emotional intelligence and ability to build trust quickly. Excellent leadership and management skills. Knowledge in lending and credit markets required. Recruiting experience required. Ability to maintain an active social media profile required.
  3. License: NMLS License (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) Required
  4. Systems: Superiority general computer. Experience working in a CRM . Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams) experience required, experience with Empower (Loan Origination System) or similar Loan Origination System required.
TRAINING REQUIRED

Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Participate in sales leadership and FAQ calls . Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Channel Strategy & Program Development

• Ideate, build, and continuously refine the company-wide builder strategy.
• Design competitive builder products, value propositions, and incentive programs.
• Create and enforce operational policies that deliver a seamless builder/borrower experience.

2. Sales Enablement & Training

• Develop training curricula to elevate builder acumen across loan officers (LOs) and sales leaders.
• Deploy top-down & bottom-up selling frameworks that accelerate adoption.

3. Marketing & Brand Positioning

• Partner with marketing to craft campaigns, collateral, and events that build brand trust in the builder community.
• Champion thought-leadership to position us as the lender of choice for builders.

4. Data, KPIs & Compliance

• Define KPIs, dashboards, and analytic tools that spotlight performance and uncover opportunity.
• Serve as RESPA guardian—ensuring every initiative remains fully compliant.

5. Relationship Growth

• Deepen revenue with existing builder partners through joint planning, co-managed goals, and performance reporting.
• Ideate and implement scalable growth plays—including strategic alliances (e.g., JV, MSA, DBA)

6. New Builder Acquisition

• Identify, qualify, and prioritize high-value prospects; maintain a robust pipeline.

• Orchestrate outreach strategies that win executive sponsorship and frontline adoption.

7. Talent Recruitment

• Attract, vet, and onboard builder-focused loan officers.
• Collaborate with recruiting & regional leadership to align talent to high-impact builder markets.

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings (including travelling to headquarters quarterly) , Sales Calls & Training Events. Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, and developments.

Builder NPS / Satisfaction scores

Number of builder-centric LO’s hired, grown and retained
