Scouting key new technologies in the field is a crucial part of MHI's efforts to achieve its ambitious goals, alongside developing and investing in green hydrogen and power-to-x infrastructure.

Key tasks

Support our technology scouting teams by bringing your broad, cross-disciplinary expertise as a generalist in areas like ammonia, methanol, and synfuel synthesis from green hydrogen, as well as ammonia cracking, to help identify breakthrough technologies across the full spectrum of the value chain.Develop project concepts that feature key equipment such as electrolysers for green hydrogen production, and processes involving the synthesis of ammonia, methanol, or synfuels, as well as ammonia cracking for hydrogen recovery.

Support technical concept development across project phases by contributing to key deliverables; experience with Front End and assurance processes is a plus.Engage with engineering contractors involved in hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, synfuels, or ammonia cracking projects, and support safety reviews such as HAZID and HAZOP studies.

Key skills and experience

You have a MSc in engineering such as process technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent.You are able to take an owner' s perspective by understanding project goals.You have a teamwork spirit being able to work as project engineer and technology expert depending on the team needs.You are able to motivate and manage proactively workload and decision making.You are fluent in Business English and your willingness to travel is self-evident to you.You have three years' experience working in process or power industry projects.
