SUMMA R Y

Directs and supervises mechanical w ork force composed of company and contract emplo y ees in all routine maintenance and pre v enti v e maintenance projects in the plant facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but a r e not limited to, the following:

  • Support and dri v e accident pre v ention and environmental excellence.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

  • Pro-acti v ely co-manages the operations maintenance controllable budget.

  • Promote quality job execution and scheduling adherence.

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equipment: repai r , technical specifications, job safety/ environmental requirements, and Execution w ork flow process.

  • Ensure W ork Order technical information is complete for w ork execution.

  • Create or edit T ask lists when applicable for repetiti v e w ork.

  • Identify Bill of Materials updates and corrections to Planne r .

  • V erify that all operations that w ere completed ha v e been correctly confirmed and identified as complete in SA P .

  • Provide feedback to planner of any information that w as not correctly identified in the job plan.

  • W ork with OMC and Planner to remo v e any backlog w ork that needs to be canceled and remo v ed from backlog.

  • Recei v e prioritized schedule back from Planne r .

  • Provide accurate w ork center capacities.

  • P articipate in schedule review with OMC, and Planner for final input of revisions for next w eeks schedule.

  • Confirm finalized schedule for next w eek.

  • All changes after final schedule will be handled as break-ins.

  • Assign planned w ork orders/packages to maintenance crafts.

  • Assign emergency/break-in w ork to maintenance crafts.

  • Determine scope changes to all w ork and communicate to OMC and Planne r .

  • V erify kitted materials are used or returned to W arehouse.

  • Review Orders to ensure all proper documentation and history has been filled out.

  • Ensure all operations ha v e been completed and confirmed.

  • T echnically complete W ork Orders after all time has been charged and information has been confirmed in SA P .

  • Follow and support W ork Management Process.

  • Field o v ersite of Contractors executing routine Maintenance o v erload w ork.

  • Support T urnaround W ork Process Planning and Execution.

  • Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as w ell as the safety of others. Promptly report Safet y , Health or Environmental issues or incidents to management.

EDUC A TION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFIC A TIONS

  • Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor v ehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting w ork.

  • A current, v alid T ransportation W orker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.

  • T echnical experience de v eloped through maintenance career path with ten to fifteen y ears experience.

  • Preferably fi v e y ears of progressi v e supervisory experience.

  • Previous experience in petrochemicals plant operations.

  • Knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling requirements for petrochemical equipment.

  • Experience with, w ord processing, spreadsheets, SA P .

  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical and control processes and technolog y .

  • E v aluate equipment performance and identify bad actors.

  • Able to de v elop, lead and support a team of craft persons.

  • Ensure crafts respond and perform to company requirements of incident free, accident free safe w ork place.

  • Communicate effecti v ely with Production, Maintenance/Scheduling and Engineering department, managers, supervisors and crafts persons.

  • W ork on own initiati v e and constantly seek to impro v e techniques.

  • Lead effecti v e maintenance team and effecti v e conflict resolution skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the emplo y ee is frequently required to sit; stand; w alk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hea r . The emplo y ee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The emplo y ee must regularly lift and/or mo v e up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or mo v e up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or mo v e up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise le v el in the w ork environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the w ork may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and ele v ators. T ra v el including air tra v el or auto tra v el may occasionally be required.
